Very recently, our founder J. Sebastian van Berkom renewed his decade-long devotion to the next generation of investment experts through a generous contribution to McGill’s Desautels finance students.

Known as a passionate philanthropist, and introduced in 2024 as an Officer of the Order of Montreal, Sebastian had already established a now famous small-cap investment management program at Concordia University.

Now, his successful initiative is replicated at McGill’s Desautels Faculty of Management, with the same belief in the best programs for the industry, as well as for our communities.
